The Peak

Social Video Producer

The Peak is hiring a video producer to create engaging videos for our social channels, particularly Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. This role is perfect for someone who is comfortable being on camera and capable of taking a video from idea to publication.

You do not need to be a great animator to do this job successfully. You do need to be able to communicate well on camera, do light video editing, have creative ideas for new video topics and formats, and be enthusiastic about experimenting to maximize reach.

This is a remote role open to anyone in Canada, with the exception of travel needed for filming (to a studio, for example).

About The Peak

The Peak is an independent Canadian media company founded in 2020 with a mission to publish Canadian business news that people would actually want to read. We created a smart, entertaining, and fast daily newsletter that delivered the top stories in business, tech, and finance to an audience of 150,000+ Canadians every day.

Today, we’re still publishing that newsletter — but we’re also expanding, with a mission to help modern Canadian business leaders and decision makers understand their world with fast, smart content they actually want.

The Peak is a profitable, sustainable media business. Our goal is to build on that strong foundation to become among the most-read and widely-recognized media brands in Canada, and we need a best-in-class team to help us do that. If you’re excited by that opportunity and great at what you do, we’d love to hear from you.
